This online course is designed to give new students a clear and practical entry point into the way we work at The Yoga Shed.
Rather than learning yoga as a collection of poses, you’ll be introduced to the key techniques and structures that underpin our classes—so that when you step into the studio (or join us online), the experience feels familiar, accessible, and purposeful.
This course is included complimentary for students enrolled in our Unlimited Classes Studio Yoga Term.
Across a series of short, focused videos, you’ll learn:
Our approach to Sun Salutes, including a progressive pathway to build confidence and fluidity
How we use repetition and rhythm (including the djembe-led sequence) to develop focus and embodied awareness
Foundational pranayama techniques such as Nadi Shodhana and Bhramari, introduced in a practical, usable way
An introduction to how chakra-based movement and awareness is integrated into longer classes
This course is not about getting everything “right.”
It’s about becoming familiar with the structure, so your attention can shift from what am I doing? to what am I noticing?
For new students, it removes uncertainty and shortens the learning curve.
For existing students, it offers a way to refine technique and reconnect with the fundamentals that support deeper practice over time.
You can move through the content at your own pace, revisit key sections, and use it as a reference alongside your regular classes.
