Life Mastery through Meditation|Casual
WED MAY 6, 6:30 - 7:30 PM AEST (WED MAY 6, 6:30 - 7:30 PM AEST)

This one-hour meditation class offers a practical, inwardly focused approach to applying meditation skills in daily life. It is designed for students who already have some experience with meditation and are ready to work with greater clarity, responsibility, and integration.

Rather than focusing on relaxation alone, the class explores meditation as a discipline for cultivating steadiness, discernment, and conscious response in the midst of real-world demands. Each session includes guided meditation alongside reflection and inquiry, supporting a deeper understanding of how meditation works and when to apply specific approaches beyond the studio.

A key theme within this class is the practical exploration of the yamas and niyamas — yoga’s ethical and personal observances — approached as lived principles rather than abstract philosophy. These teachings are explored in a contemporary, grounded way, helping students examine patterns of behaviour, inner responses, boundaries, and values with honesty and self-awareness.

The emphasis throughout is on integration: learning how to pause, witness, regulate, and respond more skilfully, rather than reacting from habit or conditioning. Over time, students develop a more reliable relationship with meditative awareness and a clearer sense of how it can inform everyday decisions, relationships, and life transitions.

Experience & Suitability

This class is best suited to students who:

  • already have some experience with meditation

  • are comfortable sitting with inner experience

  • are interested in applying meditation beyond formal practice

  • value depth, reflection, and long-term integration

For those who are newer to meditation, or who would benefit from additional support in internalisation and steadiness, the weekly Sound Healing Meditation class on our timetable or a private meditation session with Jenny is recommended as a preparatory step. These options provide guided support in relaxation, internalisation, and learning to recognise and hold calm, aware states before moving into this more inquiry-based practice.
